Our recommendations:
For general spreader placement start with the tip. Slide the tip all the way in so that no additional holes are showing. Then place the spreader into the bracket. Pin the forward hole on
the outer end of the bracket. The third aft hole on the outboard row is where the second pin should be positioned. Experiment with different settings to see which may be best for you!
